From examination day to result day, here is what happens behind the scenes at BISE boards:
Approximately 2.5 million students across all BISE boards sit their 10th class annual papers. Exams are conducted at thousands of designated examination centres under strict supervision. This phase lasts 3–4 weeks.
Answer scripts are collected from centres, sorted by subject and roll number, and distributed to trained examiners at examination camps. This logistics phase typically takes 1–2 weeks after each exam.
Examiners mark answer scripts at centralized checking camps under BISE supervision. Each script is marked by two independent examiners. Disagreements above a threshold are referred to a third marker (moderator).
Marks from all subjects are tabulated, cross-verified, and entered into the board's result management system. Grade calculations, pass/fail determinations, and award computations are processed.
Final result data is audited for errors, statistical anomalies, and completeness. Position holder calculations are verified and sealed. Board chairpersons review the data before setting the result date.
The result is announced at an official press conference. The data goes live on the board's official portal simultaneously. This portal redirects your roll number to the official result instantly.
Detail Marks Certificates (DMC) are printed and distributed to students through their schools. This process takes 4–6 weeks after the result announcement.
