The matric supply (supplementary) exam is a second-chance exam held a few months after the annual matric result. Students who failed one or more subjects, or who want to improve their marks in a specific subject, can sit only in those papers.
Any student who failed in one or two subjects in the annual matric exam 2026, or who appeared but couldn't pass overall, is eligible. Students who passed the annual exam can also use supply to improve a single subject's marks (rules vary by board).
Fees vary by board and number of subjects. Typical range: PKR 600–900 per subject for single fee, PKR 1,000–1,500 per subject with late fee, and double of single fee in the final window. Add a fixed PKR 200 admission form charge.
Most BISE boards open supply admissions the day after the annual result — typically August 7, 2026. The single-fee window runs about two weeks, followed by 7 days late fee, then 7 days double fee. After the final cut-off, no admissions are accepted.
Download the admission form from your board's official website (or collect from the board office), fill it in, pay the fee via bank challan at any branch of NBP or Allied Bank, then submit the completed form with the paid challan, your roll number slip and CNIC at the board office before the deadline.
The matric supply exam result 2026 is expected on December 8, 2026 for all BISE boards. Results are released the same way as the annual result — online portal, SMS short code, and gazette PDF.
Yes. Most Punjab BISE boards allow 'improvement of marks' — you can re-sit any one or two subjects to try to score higher. Your final certificate shows the better of the two results. Sindh and KP boards have similar rules with minor variations.
You become eligible to appear as a private candidate in the next annual exam (April 2027). You don't have to repeat 10th class at school — you just register for those failed subjects again as a private candidate through your board.
