BISE Gilgit-Baltistan uses the short code 8583. Send your roll number in the format "BISE <roll>" to 8583 and you'll receive your matric result by reply SMS, usually within 1–5 minutes on result day.
Yes — Jazz, Telenor, Zong, Ufone and SCOM all support BISE result SMS. Standard SMS rates apply; the board does not charge an extra fee for the result reply.
Yes — the same 8583 short code returns both 9th class (SSC Part 1) and 10th class (SSC Part 2) results. Just send the relevant roll number.
On result day the gateway is overloaded between 10 AM and 1 PM. Wait 30 minutes and resend. Also confirm the exact format — extra spaces, hyphens, or wrong roll number will return "Invalid format". If the gateway is fully down, use the online checker on this site instead.
Your network charges its standard SMS rate (usually free under SMS bundles). BISE Gilgit-Baltistan itself doesn't charge an additional fee. On some networks result-day messages are zero-rated — check with your operator on result morning.
